As we have all heard on the news the past few days, on Thursday December 22 James Lavin and Owen Higgins, three-sport athletes from Falmouth, currently in their hockey season lost their lives in a horrific accident. They were both 17 years old and best friends. Nothing can describe what these families, the hockey community and all of Falmouth is going through as a result of this tragedy.
Our family was able to pick up the jersey’s for the Falmouth Hockey team to have them patched with both boys numbers that the team will wear at the funerals and for the remainder of the season. Dropping them off was devastating. Please also keep all impacted by this horrible tragedy in your thoughts and prayers as they prepare to bury two of their brightest stars.
The RB Foundation is working closely with the families and the coaching staff of Falmouth High School to do whatever we can to provide emotional and financial support. As we have in the past, we are reaching out to the RB community to open their hearts and support these families in their grief and time of need. As always, 100% of all donations made will go directly towards these families.
In gratitude and humble appreciation,
The Barletta Family
